North East Bath House at SVL destroyed by management

North Bath house is gone

Even after being warned by me not to demolish the SVL North Bath House, the management from the homes association at SUGAR VALLEY LAKES destroyed the NORTH bathhouse on the east side of the subdivision.

Two years ago, after the membership voted down the Board’s request for an assessment increase, the north bathhouse was closed. The members were told that the building was unsafe and would not be opened for 2007. Locks were placed on the doors. Then, deck screws were used to seal the doors.  At the annual member meeting in January 2008, I asked why the north bathhouse had not been opened all last year. The general manager responded that many of the people that live on that side of the creek had not paid their dues and the Association was not going to let these people have free showers and restrooms.

The north bathhouse remained sealed throughout 2008. This past week, around December 5, the destruction was completed.

The members now only have only the SOUTH bathhouse to use, however one of the stalls in that bath house has been marked “out of order” throughout 2007. In actuality, the stool has been removed.  Will the south bath house be next?
